John Armstrong departed this life at his home in South Napoleon, Ohio, on October 24th, 1892 Funeral services were held at his residence on Wednesday, Oct. 26th, at 1 o'clock, Rev. J. W. Myers officiating; burial at the Gunn cemetery The deceased was born at Kingston, Canada, Aug. 8th, 1864; his age was 38 years, 2 months and 19 days. He was a stone cutter by trade, and had been a great sufferer of that fell disease consumption for six yearsHe leaves a wife and two small children, besides a mother, two brothers and four sisters, who reside in Florida, O., to mourn their loss. One little daughter having preceded him to the spirit land only six short weeks ago.

There Is no death. What seems so is transition;
This life of mortal breath
Is but a suburb of the life elysean,
Whose portal we call death.
