BRIDENBAUGH. - Gertie, a daughter of K. O. and M. A. Bridenbaugh, died In Marion tp., Henry county, Ohio, March 14, 1883 aged 14 years, 3 months and 1 day.

Over the river the boatman pale,
Carried our darling, our household pet,
Her brown hair waved in the gentle gale,
Darling Gertie, I see her yet.

She pressed to her bosom her lilly hands,
And fearlessly entered the phantom bark,
We saw it glide from the sllver strand,
And all our sunshine grew strangely dark,
But we know she is safe on the other side.
Where ail the ransomed angels be,
Over the river, over the river,
Your darling child, is waiting for thee.
