| Obituary: Brown - Hannah Brown, wife Markess Brown, died June 20th, 1889, aged 33 years, 10 months and 21 days. She leaves a husband, father, brother and one sister to mourn their loss. Another fond wife and mother has been called to cross the river of life to be again united with loved ones on that Bright and Shining Shore. When shall we cease to hear the funeral bell toll for the departing ones, or when shall we cease to hide the faces of our loved ones under the cold and damp sod? This family was bound together with two little daughters to be left without a mother's care. Just a short time before she closed her eyes she called her friends to her bed side and bid them good-bye and told them she was going to rest in Jesus' arms. The funeral services were held at the United Brethren Church, at Liberty Center, after which the body was laid in the liberty cemetery by the side of her loved ones to await the bright resurrection morn. Note: Husband's name seen as Marquis elsewhere. | ||
