In Memory of Mary E. Brown, who died Jan. 31, 1892, aged 37 years and 25 days.

Darling Mary, we have laid thee
In thy narrow bed to rest,
Never more to hear you calling,
Until we are numbered with the blest.

Though so sadly we miss thee,
And thy face we long to see,
We would not call the back again,
Though lonely now we be.

We miss thy kind and willing hand,
Thy fond and earnest care,
Our home is dark without thee,
We miss thee everywhere.

Tho' thy darling form lies sleeping
In the cold and silent tomb,
Thou shalt have a glorious waking
When the blessed Lord doth come.
