Obituary:

Death of Mrs. A. Derbyshire. On Saturday last the remains of Mr. A. Derbyshire were brought to Napoleon from Delphi, Ind., for burial. Mr. Derbyshire was formerly Miss Lelia McCann, well known by most of the residents of Napoleon, for this place was her home from childhood, and it has been less than four years since she left with her husband for their home in Delphi. Her death, which occurred early last Thursday morning, cast gloom over many hearts in Napoleon, and was a sad affliction to her young friends in this place and vicinity. Mr. Derbyshire was of an extremely happy and lovable disposition, scattering sunshine wherever she went, and now that her soul has taken its final flight beyond the mystic river, her memory will always remain green in the hearts of those who knew and associated with her. In addition to two sisters and a host of friends and relatives to lament her departure, she leaves a fond husband and little daughter behind, but let it be hoped they will so live as to follow her to that better land which is fairer than day.
