| Obituary: EDGAR Ida Isabella Edgar was born Dec. 5th, 1861, and died at her late residence in Liberty township, April 14th, 1890, aged 28 years, 4 months and 9 days. The deceased was a daughter of Samuel and Margaret Elarton. Her father preceded her to the Spirited world, having died in rebel prison in 1864. The deceased was married to Wm Hugh Edgar April 5th, 1881. This union was blessed with two children, Rosella May, being born June 3d, 1885, and died January 15th, 1889; Ida Isabell was born April 14th, 1890, 6 hours prior to mother's death. Sister E. leaves to mourn their loss a sorrow stricken husband, infant daughter, mother, two brothers, John and Curtis Elarton, two sisters, Mrs. Jane Howell, and Mrs. M. Ella Palmer, and many other friends, but not as one without hope. Sister Edgar embraced religion In January, 1888, and united with the Evangelical church, and remained a true and devoted Christian until death. She found pleasure in serving her Master, and was always ready to bear her cross, and was very earnest in her solicitations with others to accept Christ as their personal Savior. She was of an amiable disposition, and to become acquainted with her was to love and reaped her as a Christian lady. In her death the husband has lost an affectionate companion, the infant daughter a kind mother, the aged mother a kind daughter, the brothers and sisters an affectionate abler, the church a faithful member, and the community a highly respected citizen. Her funeral was held at the Christian Union Church in the presence of a large concourse of people, Rev. E. M. Spreng, of Fremont, O., officiating, assisted by the writer. May the Lord of all grace sustain and comfort the sorely bereft, and may they find consolation in the promise, "Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world." A.F.B. | ||
