| Obituary: Mollett. On the 31st day of January, 1888, near McClure, Ohio, of lung fever, Catharine Mollett, aged 42 years, 6 months and 10 days. And now, Mr. Editor, through your kindness in granting us space in the past, we come with a few lines in memory of one (to many dear), whose departure has cast so much sadness over the hearts of those with whom she was associated. Mr. Mollett had just completed a good farm house on his premises, into which one month ago they transferred their goods and were ready to enjoy the fruits of years of toil and labor; but then how very uncertain is human happiness. In one short month after entering into her new home she was called to leave the scenes of earth and enter upon those that are eternal. But although the summons came at an hour least expected, It found her ready and willing to depart. The community has lost one of its best citizens, the family a kind and tender mother. But our loss is doubtless her eternal gain. One of the largest funeral gatherings ever assembled in McClure convened in McClure Church (the room was pleasantly warmed with gas) on the 2nd of February, and after the funeral service many with sad hearts followed to the field of the silent dead, where all that was mortal was deposited to await the resurrection of the past.
