| Obituary: Mrs. David Musser was born at Johnson's Corners, Summit county, O., 84 years ago and died Saturday afternoon last at 4 o'clock at her home on West Maumee Ave. Death was caused by the infirmities of age. In 1848 the deceased came to Napoleon with her parents, James and Ellen Armstrong, and she was united in marriage to David Musser on Nov. 22, 1855, by Rev. Scannel, pastor of the M. E. Church of Napoleon. Shortly after their marriage the young couple moved to Wooster, O., and later to Congress, O., returning in 1867 to Napoleon where they have resided ever since. There were born to this union six children, of whom but two survive their mother, Jos. A. Musser, of Milan, Mich., and Mrs. B. J. Long, of Toledo. There also are left to mourn the aged husband, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. On Nov. 22nd, last year Mr. and Mrs. Musser celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Mrs. Musser was a prominent figure in the activities of Napoleon in the days of her middle age and was identified in all of the work of the Women's Relief Corps and Methodist Church. She will be mourned and missed by a large circle of acquaintances. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the residence, conducted by Rev. Burton. |
