Obituary:

One of our older citizens laid aside this mortal coil on Tuesday, the 14th, Inst., and passed away to the silent majority. Mr. C. H. Reynold, after having been an Invalid for a long time and a constant care, died in a half conscious state on the date aforesaid. Mr. Reynolds was born In Westchester Co., N. Y., in 1816; removed to Huron Co., about 1840, but the latter part of his life was spent in this village where he had resided for 28 years, following the occupation of a blacksmith until too feeble to wield the sledge. It can truthfully be said that he was strictly honest in all his business dealings, his word being as good as a bond; much better than some who made greater pretentious. He leaves an invalid wife for whom he always had the highest regard, and who was as faithful to her as ever woman was to man. The funeral services were held from the Congregational church, Rev. W. S. Worden officiating, on Thursday.
