ROSE On the 12th of March, 1888, in Hamler, Henry county, O., of lung fever, Moddie D., infant daughter of A. Rose, age 1 year and 8 days. Her body was taken to McClure, where the funeral services were held by J. W. Myers. A large number of friends from Hamler accompanied them and witnessed the burial services in Damascus township cemetery.

We journey onward o'er life?s plain,
Our hearts with grief do swell,
But then the thought we meet again
Forever there to dwell.

No parting hand, no falling tear.
No sigh of sadness given
There joy unfading will appear
For that bright home in heaven.

Rev. J. W. Myers, McClure,?March 14, ?88
