Obituary:

Mangled by the B. & O.

An unknown man, supposed to be a teamster at Reidlebaugh's mill near Hamler, was run over by the cars and cut into giblets last Monday night. The body was found on the track early Tuesday morning mangled into an unrecognizable mast and it is supposed several trains passed over it during the night.

Pieces of the clothing lead the citizens to believe it was a teamster as above mentioned as such one left Hamler in the evening going east on the B. & O. The head was literally ground to pieces and the arms and legs cut off -- supposed to be another case of the accursed effects of whiskey.

Since the above was put in type we learn that the man's name is Sands and his father resides near Hicox's mills. - Holgate Times.

Mr. Sands was formerly a resident of Napoleon; while here he worked in Bruner's factory.
