Another of Henry County's oldest pioneers has passed away in the person of Leroy Waite who died at his home in Flatrock township aged 72 years, 3 months and 20 days. The funeral will take place this morning from the late residence, Reverend Donahey in charge of the ceremony. The deceased was born in Scioto county, June 23, 1820, and came to this county, while still a lad, with his parents, Reuben and Mary Waite, who settled in Flatrock township. He was one of five children. Another brother was Reuben, who was very prominent in the early public affairs of the county. Leroy Waite never married and the latter part of his life was of chronic ills, incapacitating him for any of this worlds' pleasures.
