| Obituary: A Sad Bereavement. Death, relentless and certain, is fast thinning out our population this spring. With his dart he touches hearts of the aged and the infirm. The strong and the apparently healthful are sometimes his victims. The young do not always escape, and to us all there is that ever present sense of unsafety the suspicion that possibly we may be the next to change time for eternity. Among his victims during the past week was the wife of Supt. W. W. Weaver, who was called hence early Thursday morning last. Her death was caused from peritonitis and puerperal fever, and her sickness was of short duration. The bereavement is a sad one; a mother called in to eternity, leaving four small children and a dear husband behind. May He, who is all love and tenderness, watch over them and comfort the bereft companion. The burial took place on Friday from the family residence, many neighbors and friends paying their last tribute of respect to her earthly remains. Several beautiful floral offerings from the union school teachers and scholars and friends, covered the casket, tokens expressing the respect and esteem in which the deceased was held by all. | ||
