Engineer Rice was instantly killed at Concord, Indiana. As third seen approached Concord the night operator, who had just gone on duty and seems to have been uninformed that such a train was coming, thought it was a freight train and threw the switch to runit in on the north track. The train was traveling at a high rate of speed and as the engine turned it on to the siding the iron horse turned over on its side with a fatal result.
