In the residence of her daughter Mrs. Georg P. Wohn in North Defiance, where she has made her home the past five years, on Tuesday morning about 3:30 the widow Karoline Lang, born Grebast, died of a heart ailment. She was born on the 20th of May 1827 in Rhenish Bavaria and from there had a pilgrimage of 80 years, 6 months and 6 days. As a 4 year old girl she came to this country with her parents, who settled in Stark county, Ohio. There on the 2nd of November 1845 she married Johann Lang, with whom she moved, in about 1850 to Florida, Ohio, to spend the remainder of her days there and in that area. Her husband preceded her in death already on the 2nd of March 1877 and since then she has made her home with her children, who all supported her with great love. Of her eleven children, still living are: John W. Lang in Toledo, Frank P. Lang in Okolona, Mrs. Rudolph Miller, Mrs. Andrew Tuttle, Mrs. Georg P. Wohn, Mrs. Logan Barr and Will Lang in Defiance.
After Mrs. Lang was bedridden from 1875 until 1887, she recovered completely and enjoyed good health up into old age. She was a loyal follower of the Redeemer, whom she has now found. The burial service will be Thursday afternoon at 1:30 in the former home and about 2 o'clock in St. John's Lutheran Church. The burial will take place in Riverside cemetery.
Jakob Heilmann
In the town of Florida, where he spent the last years of his life, Jakob Heilmann died Saturday morning of the infirmities of age. He was born February 1819 in Kleinheim, Rhenish Bavaria and came to this country many years ago. For a long time he lived in Okolona, where he worked as tracklayer for the Wabash Railroad. Surviving are his widow, a born Baker, [and] of 12 children 3 sons and 5 daughters, 34 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; additionally the sister-in-law Mrs. John Hepler Sr., living here and the brother-in-law Eduard Baker in North Richland.
The burial, which took place Monday morning, was attended by John Hepler Sr. and wife and their son Georg, from here.
Mrs. John Wolf
In her residence in Pleasant Bend, Henry county, the wife of Mr. John Wolf died Thursday morning at the age of 66 years. She was a born Kettenring and a sister of Peter Kettenring from here. To the widower she leaves behind four sons and two daughters. The remains were buried from the former home Sunday morning to the cemetery in New Bavaria.
Mrs. Percy Tuttle
After a birth on the previous Friday evening about 6 o'clock in Defiance Hospital, Mrs. Percy Tuttle, matron of the institution, died of a severe illness. She came hither from Coshocton county, Ohio and was in her 28th year. The remains were sent Sunday afternoon to Coshocton, Ohio for burial.

Anna Schamberger
In Toledo Hospital, where she had been operated upon for appendicitis, on Friday afternoon died Anna Schamberger, the 10 year old daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Michael Schamberger, who earlier had lived here. The burial, which took place Monday morning in Toledo, was attended by Mrs. Albert Geiger and Mrs. Michael Ziegler, from here.
Mrs. Maria Karlstadt
In washington Township last Friday, Maria Karlstadt, widow of the deceased Peter Karlstadt, died at the age of 78 years. She leaves behind four children, among them Mrs. Maggie Redel and Mrs. Kate Winch of Defiance. The burial took place Sunday under the direction of Pastor Fr. Henkelmann of the German Lutheran Church north of Ney.

Mrs. J. J. Lewis
On Wednesday morning about 3 o'clock in Florida, O., the wife of J. J. Lewis died of blood poisoning at the age of 67 years, 6 months and 28 days. Left behind to the widower are three grown children. The burial service will take place Friday afternoon about one o'clock in the home and about 1:30 in the Methodist Church in Florida.
