Katharine Buchholz, a born Merz and wife of Thomas Buchholz, died on the previous Wednesday morning in the family residence at 506 East Hopkins Street after a lengthy illness at the age of 46 years, 10 months and 24 days. As a four year old child she lost her mother and was raised in the family of the late Jakob Müller near Sherwood. Remaining behind are the widower, the son Walter, two grandchildren, the brothers John and Henry of here, Jakob in Toledo and Rudolph in Mark Center, the sister Mrs. Don C. Butler in Peoria, Ill., the daughter-in-law and a large circle of friends. The burial took place Saturday morning from the St. Mary's Catholic Church under the direction of Father J. A. Merickel in the Riverside Cemetery. The pallbearers were M. A. Costello, Roger Daoust, Richard T. Wisda, Frank J. Baker, Frank H. Feigenbaum and Adam Umbs.

Mrs. Juliane Kammeyer
Mrs. Juliane Kammeyer, a born Oberer and wife of Mr. Wilhelm Kammeyer, died on Thursday shortly after noon in the family residence in Tiffin Township after only a few hour illness. Since she had only recently gotten over from a lengthy illness, the grief of the survivors is that much more, as they had hoped for a complete recovery. Mrs. Kammeyer was born on the 8th of October 1855 in Bavaria and came young to this country. On the 12th of September 1878 she married Mr. Wilhelm Kammeyer, to whom she gave a daughter, who is married to Mr. Alfred Sigg. Along with the widower, the daughter and the son-in-law, there are 4 grandchildren and the brother Daniel Oberer in Tiffin, Ohio remaining behind. Mrs. Kammeyer had brought her age to 64 years, 6 months and 17 days. Her remains were taken to the grave on Saturday afternoon under the direction of Pastor J. F. Lorch from the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Riverside Cemetery. Acting as pallbearers were Edward Kuhn, George Miller, Henry Retcher, Jacob Linabrinck, Edgar Robertson and Louis Speiser.

Rachel McGuire died on Thursday evening in the family residence on Auglaize Avenue at the age of 85 years and 9 months leaving behind the widower Cornelius McGuire with a few grown children. The burial took place Monday morning under the direction of Dr. E. O. Crist from the former residence in the Riverside Cemetery.

William C. Mock, son of William F. & Lola Mock, died on Thursday in Toledo. His remains were brought on Thursday evening in the parental residence at 824 Clinton Street and on Monday afternoon buried from there under the direction of Dr. E. O. Crist in the Riverside Cemetery. The boy was only 12 years and 11 months old.

Asa W. Haggart died on Sunday evening in his residence No. 633 Riverside Avenue at the age of 69 years and 9 months. In his younger years he was one of the most popular sales clerks in a large hardware business in our city. The burial of his remains took place on Wednesday afternoon in the Riverside Cemetery.

Frederick Edward Franzdorf, the seven month old infant son of the married couple Eduard and Sophia Franzdorf, died on the previous Wednesday morning in the Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The tiny remains were brought on Thursday to Defiance in the family residence on Riverside Drive and buried in the Riverside Cemetery on Friday afternoon under the direction of Pastor J. F. Lorch.

Dr. William Gibson
Dr. William Gibson, the oldest doctor in the city of Defiance, died on Friday evening in the residence of Mrs. Rosa Arning on Grove Street at the age of 78 years, 4 months and 27 days. Of close relatives that he leaves behind, so far as is known to us, there is only a brother, who resides in Toledo. He was twice married; both spouses preceded him in death. His remains were buried Monday afternoon from the former residence in the Riverside Cemetery. Pastor Theodor Strauss from Marine City, Mich., officiated.
