Mrs. Anna Dirr, a born Hire and the wife of George C. Dirr residing here on Perry Street, died Tuesday morning of this week in the tuberculosis ward of the county Hospital in Toledo at the age of 45 years. She leaves behind the husband, two daughters, the mother Mrs. Almeda Hire from South Richland and many siblings. Her remains arrived here Tuesday evening and will receive Christian burial Thursday afternoon. More specifics concerning the burial were not yet available on Tuesday afternoon.
Mrs. Sadie Douty, a born Fike and the wife of B. D. Douty, died suddenly last Friday morning. Laboring under a heart condition for a long time, she was under treatment of a doctor in Toledo and was on the way with her husband to consult with this doctor again, when her death occurred. She died on the eastbound morning train of the Wabash Railroad, just as it had left the station here and crossed the Maumee. The train then returned to the station, from whence the deceased was taken in Martin's ambulance to her residence on Washington street. She came from Leipsic, Ohio and was 43 years, 3 months and 7 days old. She leaves behind the husband, one son, the parents and one sister. The burial took place Sunday afternoon from the English Methodist Church in the Riverside Cemetery. Pastor P. A. Crow from here and the Lutheran preacher Rollin T. Scheck from Leipsic, Ohio, officiated.
Mrs. Emma Fricke, a born Bleser and the wife of Mr. Louis Fricke, died last Wednesday evening shortly before 10 o'clock in the family residence No. 1010 Francis Street at the age of 31 years, 7 months and 23 days. she was born here on the 17th of January 1883 as the daughter of the married couple Frank and Emma Bleser. On the 2nd of July 1903 she was wed by Pastor H. Müller with Louis Fricke. Remaining behind are the husband with six minor children, the parents, the sister Mrs. Peter Zenz of here and the brother Frank in Toledo. Her mortal remains were buried from the former residence Saturday afternoon to the Riverside Cemetery. Pastor H. Schult from Adams Township officiated. To the survivors, especially the half-orphaned children, who still so greatly need a mother's care, are offered heart-felt sympathy by all.
The surviving widower wishes herewith to extend to all those, who have demonstrated commiseration for him and his family, his sincere gratitude.

On Thursday afternoon at three o'clock in the graveyard in Brunersburg, the remains of the only one day old infant of Mr. & Mrs. Fred. Smith of Noble Township were given Christian burial under the direction of Pastor F.A. Kiess.

William Hire
William Hire died on Saturday morning about 5 o'clock in his residence on carpenter street in Ssouth Richland at the age of 72 years, 7 months and 25 days. He was born on the 24th of January 1842 in Dayton, Ohio and came many years ago to this countryside, where until his passing he practiced agriculture. He is survived by his aged widow with two sons and three daughters. They are Mrs. George C. Dirr in Defiance, Mrs. Charles Derge in south Richland, Mrs. Fred Kirkpatrick in the state of Michigan, the sons Fred and John Hire in South Richland. The Christian burial of the mortal remains of the man known and respected in wide circles took place Monday morning in the Hire graveyard, after Pastor Zeller had held a funeral service in the former residence and in the Dunkard Church in South Richland. The pallbearers were the Mr's Daniel Aschbacher, Al. Noffsinger, George Knight, Henry Hohenberger, Daniel Degler and William Snyder.

Henry Telschow
Henry Telschow, who had spent almost his entire lifetime in Defiance, died last Friday in Detroit, Mich., where he had moved a short time ago, at the age of 51 years, 8 months and 13 days. His remains were brought Saturday afternoon to Defiance to the residence of his sister Mrs. Henry Baumann on the East Hopkins Street and on Sunday afternoon buried from the English Lutheran Church in the Riverside Cemetery. Pastor W.H. shepser officiated and the Lodges of the Moose and the Redmen gave their deceased brother an escort to the grave. Left behind are the daughters Miss Mabel Telschow in Detroit and Mrs. Grover Fillmann of here, the mother Mrs. John Schimpf in Delaware, the two brothers Fred. in Michigan and Gustav of here and the aforementioned sister Mrs. Henry Baumann. His wife preceded him in death a few years ago.
