Susanna Häselbarth, a born Beiswenger and widow of Franz Häselbarth who died on the 27th of November 1906, died on Friday afternoon about half past 3 o'clock in her residence in Noble Township, where she had lived for many years, at the age of 75 years and 5 days. She was born on the 1st of April 1842 in Oberkochem, Württemberg and came early to this country, where on the 25th of June 1857 in the state of Michigan married Mr. Franz Häselbarth. Of the eleven children, to whom she gave life, two daughters and one son have died. The surviving children are George Häselbarth, Mrs. Pauline Ziegler and Theckla Marshaus in Defiance; Mrs. Mathilda Lantow in Tiffin Township; Mrs. Maria Carpenter in Milan, Mich.; Mrs. Johanna Carpenter in Montgomery, Mich.; Mrs Sophia Carpenter in Van Wert, Ohio; Miss Ella Häselbarth in the parenta residence. Also there are 25 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and the sister Mrs. Christ. Schmitt of here left behind. The burial took place on Monday morning from the former residence under the direction of Pastor F. A. Kiess in the Webb Cemetery in Noble Township.
Mrs. Louise Kopp, a born Oppenländer and wife of Wilhelm G. Kopp, who lived for many years in Highland Township and here in the city, died Sunday evening about 10 o'clock after a lengthy illness in her residence in Montgomery, Mich, at the age of 55 years, 6 months and 26 days. in the year 1881 in Lansing Mich., she married Mr. Wilhelm G. Kopp, to whom she presented twelve children. Of these still living are Fred. W. Kopp of here, Mrs. Sophia Arning in Toledo, Webster Kopp in Winona, Minnesota, Mrs. Bertha Waldner in Hillsdale, Mich., Mrs. Emma Brown, Karl, Wilhelm, Paul, Edith and Clara Kopp in Montgomery. For the past six years the Kopp family resided in Michigan. The mortal remains were brought Monday noon to Defiance to the residence of Fred. W. Kopp, No. 1119 Wilhelm Street and on Tuesday afternoon taken from there and the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church to the cemetery of the St. Stephan's Evangelical Lutheran congregation in Highland Township for burial. Pastor F. A. Kiess officiated here and Pastor C. H. Schröder at the gravesite. The German Women's Sickness Support Society gave their deceased sister the final honors.

John B. Weisenburger
Died in Chicago.
Mr. George W. Weisenburger received on Tuesday morning a report from Chicago of the passing that morning of the 87 year old Mr. John B. Weisenburger of Defiance in the residence of his son Frank J. The same had come as a boy from Germany to Seneca County, Ohio, and in 1845 settled in Defiance, where from 1850 until about two years ago he was active continually as a merchant and as such was characterized by steadfast plain dealing. He moved to Chicago a few months ago to pass the rest of his life with his sons Frank J., William and Adam. The spouse, the daughter Mrs. Katharine Meilink and the son Jay preceded him in death. John B. Weisenburger was held in high esteem by a large circle of acquaintances, and the many friends of the old gentleman, so fragile in the last years, sincerely wish for him the eternal rest. The mortal remains were brought hither to the residence of the Gorman family on Jackson Avenue. The funeral service will be Thursday morning at half past 9 o'clock in the St. John's Catholic Church.

Mrs. Charlotte Kirchner
Mrs. Charlotte Kirchner, in Elyria, Ohio, on last Wednesday evening about half past 6 o'clock in the residence of her grandson Hermann Hohenberger, Mrs. Charlotte Kirchner, born Schlemmer, died from the infirmities of age. She was born on the 3rd of August 1828 in the Kingdom of Bavaria and came to this country on the 18th of June 1833, where she settled first in Tiffin. There in 1851 she married Johann M. Kirchner, with whom nine years later she came to Defiance, to spend almost the entire rest of her life here. Already since 1889 she has lived as a widow, and the last ten or more years with her children and grandchildren. Left behind are the son Henry, four grandsons, two granddaughters and four great-grandchildren. The mortal remains of the 89 year old lady arrived here Friday morning at 9 o'clock on the Wabash Railroad and were taken to the residence of her grandson John Hohenberger on Perry Avenue, from whence the burial took place at 10 o'clock Saturday morning in the Riverside Cemetery. Pastor W. H. Shepser officiated, since Pastor F. A. Kiess was confined to his sickroom by a bad sore throat.
