Karl Schultz, the youngest son of the husband and wife Michael and Johanna Schultz residing at No. 425 Washington Street, died on Sunday morning about 9 o'clock after an approximately one month sickness in the hospital here of a typhous lung fever. He had seemed to recover a few weeks ago, but a relapse occurred suddenly which the best care and medical arts were not able to stop. Saturday the patient was brought to the Defiance Hospital, where already at 9 o'clock on the following morning his death occurred.
Karl Schultz was born here on the 1st of April 1876 and so had brought his lifetime to almost 37 years, and had resided here continually. on the 25th of March 1911 he married Miss Doris Miller, who preceded him in death. Left behind are the aged parents, the brother Martin in California, the two brothers August and Edward of here, and the also living here sisters Mrs. Clara Davison and Mrs. Ada M. King, as well as the stepsister Mrs. Charlotte Krotz, whose current home is in Louisiana. The burial took place Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the former residence. Pastor L. H. Ziemer from the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran congregation officiated.

Mrs. Susan Hall
Mrs. Susan Hall, widow of the late E. J. Hall, died Saturday afternoon about a quarter to three o'clock in Southerton, Highland Township at the age of 74 years and 25 days. The burial took place Monday afternoon under the direction of the English Methodist preacher Manahan in Ayersville from the former residence and the Sharon Methodist Church to the Mount Zion cemetery.

Arthur J. H. Storck
Arthur J. H. Storck died on Monday morning about a quarter past three o'clock in the residence of his father Johann Storck on Thurman street, where he had been cared for since the previous December, from tuberculosis. He had been ill for about one year and had been in the sanitarium in Mt. Vernon, O., and in the hospital in Columbus seeking a cure in vain. He was born on the 24th of August 1887 in Defiance and had spent the greater part of his life here. On the 27th of April 1912 he married Miss Edith Lower, who survives him with an infant son. Remaining behind besides are his father, the brothers Carl in Sturgis, Mich., and Emil in Detroit, as well as the sister Maria in the parental residence. His mother preceded him in death. The burial took place Wednesday afternoon in the Riverside cemetery under the direction of Pastor F. A. Kiess. The funeral service was at half past 1 in the former residence and at 2 o'clock in the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Georg Michael Entemann
Georg Michael Entemann, born in Schorndorf in the Kingdom of Wurttemberg, died Saturday evening in the residence of his son-in-law Wilhelm F. Rieckhoff, No. 629 Summit Street, where he has had his home since the death of his wife on the 23rd of April 1909, from the infirmities of age. Born on the 9th of May 1836, he had brought his lifetime to 76 years, 10 months and 26 days. He came to this country at the start of the sixties and took part in the Civil War. On the 28th of March 1863 he married Louise Gerst 1n Bryan, who was taken from him four years ago through an accident. He had resided in Defiance for almost thirty years. Left behind are the children Mrs. Emma Doll in Coldwater, Mich., Mrs. Charles Benson in Milwaukee, Wis., Wilhelm and Fred Entemann and Mrs. Walter Stumm in Toledo, Mrs. Wilhelm F. Rieckhoff and Charles Entemann in Defiance. Also the descendancy includes 18 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
The burial took place Tuesday afternoon in the Riverside Cemetery, after a funeral service had been held by Pastor F. A. Kiess at half past 1 in the former residence and at 2 o'clock in the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Rosalie Maria Storck, a born Basler and wife of Mr. Johann Storck, died on Friday morning about 7 o'clock after a lengthy illness in the family residence No. 403 Seneca Street as the result of a stroke attack. She was born on the 22nd of September 1859 in Columbus, O., and thus had brought the time of her earthly pilgrimage to 53 years, 6 months and 13 days. Orphaned in her childhood, she came to Defiance and went into service until on the 14th of September 1880 she married Mr. Johann Storck. From this marriage resulted five children, of whom one preceded the mother in death. Left behind with the widower are the sons Karl and Emil in Sturgis, Mich., the son Arthur and the daughter Maria in Defiance, as well as three grandchildren. All of the children were at home, when the faithful mother close her eyes in the final slumber. six brothers survive the departed, who was a faithful member of the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran congregation and the womens' society "Harmonia". The Christian burial of the mortal remains took place Sunday afternoon in the Riverside Cemetery, after Pastor F. A. Kiess had held a funeral service at half past 1 in the former residence and at 2 o'clock in the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. The pallbearers were Heinrich Hohenberger, Geo. P. Wohn, Albert Anderson, Christoph Dürk, John Butsch and Friedrich Kimpel.
