Roland Donald Porter, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Porter, died on Friday evening about half past ten o'clock in the family residence at 317 Summit Street at the age of 1 year, 2 months and 7 days. The tiny remains were given Christian burial Monday afternoon, after a funeral service had been held by Pastor Albin Beer here in the former residence and in the Emanuel Reformed Church on the South Ridge.

Mrs. Mary M. Replogle
Mrs. Mary M. Replogle, wife of William C. Replogle residing in Evansport, died there on Wednesday in the family residence at the age of 67 years, 1 month and 29 days. She was born in Evansport, had spent her entire lifetime there and on Saturday afternoon was also buried from the Methodist Church there. Remaining behind are the widower, seven sons and three daughters. The sons acted as pallbearers at the burial.

Mrs. Ida C. Frost
Mrs. Ida C. Frost, a born Spring and wife of Mr. I. C. Frost, died on the previous Tuesday here on Holgate Avenue in the residence of her sibling at the age of 46 years and 17 days. Remaining behind are the widower, the sisters Mrs. Emma Conrad and Miss Tillie Spring, as well as the brothers Louis Spring and Frank Spring, all of whom reside in Defiance. The burial took place Thursday afternoon at half past three o'clock from the former residence under the direction of Pastor David L. Johnson in the Riverside Cemetery.

Mrs. Caroline Mentley
Mrs. Caroline Mentley, a born Willer and widow of Philipp Mentley who died on the 10th of November 1909 here in south Defiance, died on the previous Tuesday in the residence of her son Fred. Mentley in Highland Township at the age of 85 years and 3 months. She was one of the pioneers of Highland Township , where well into her old age she had her home with her spouse on a farm. Of her children the following are still alive: Fred. Mentley in Highland Township, Mrs. Henry Schatz near Baltimore, Md., Mrs. Mary Boyd and Mrs. John Barringer in Toledo and Mrs. Charles Wilhyde in Brooklyn, N.Y. Besides these there remain behind also 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. The remains of the gone to rest elderly lady were taken Thursday morning from the former residence and the Zion Lutheran Church under the direction of Pastor W. H. Shepser to the grave in the Riverside Cemetery.

Leona Grace Replogle
Leona Grace Replogle died on Tuesday morning of the previous week in Bryan at the age of 46 years 5 months and 14 days. She was born in Tiffin Township and on the 18th of September 1894 married Dr. M. V. Replogle, who with one son survives. Before her marriage she was a Spangler. Her remains were buried Thursday afternoon from the former residence in the Evansport Cemetery.

Mrs. Ellen Sullivan
Mrs. Ellen Sullivan died on Monday afternoon shortly after five o'clock in the residence of her son-in-law Aloys Wannemacher at 707 Kintner Street at the age of 87 years, 1 month and 11 days. She leaves behind her seriously ill spouse, two sons and two daughters.
The burial will take place on Thursday afternoon from the St. John's Catholic Church under the direction of Father L. Plumann in the graveyard of the Catholic congregation in Antwerp.

Christian Gansmüller
Christian Gansmüller, a resident of this area for many years and also fairly well known here in Defiance, died a sudden death on Saturday morning about half past six o'clock in Evansport in the residence of his son Albert at the age of 81 years and 8 months. He hailed from Hegenlohe in Wuerttemberg and resided in this country since 1865. Remaining behind are five sons and five daughters, among them Mrs. C. C. Seyboldt of here. His spouse preceded him in death on the 5th of August 1912. His mortal remains were committed to the earth Wednesday afternoon under the direction of Pastor H. Maag from the Methodist Church in Evansport in the Cemetery there.

Mrs. Phoebe Klein
Mrs. Phoebe Klein, widow of that Henry Klein who was killed in an accident about five years ago at the Ottawa Avenue crossing of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, died on Thursday afternoon about 2 o'clock in her residence at 411 Summit Street after a few day illness at the age of 77 years, 9 months and 16 days. She was born in Prussia and came young to this country; she had resided in Defiance since about 30 years ago. Remaining behind are the following children: Mrs. Mary Windesheim and Mrs. Ella Franzway in Kenosha, Wis.; Louis Klein near Ft. Wayne, Henry Klein in Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. John G. Abele, Mrs. Jacob D. Abele, Mrs. Tillie Meyer, Mrs. Linda Diemer, Arthur and Jacob Klein in Defiance. Besides these there are 22 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
The burial took place Saturday afternoon under the direction of Pastor H. B. Robrock from the St. John's Reformed Church in the Riverside Cemetery.
