Katharine M. Zimmermann, the infant just born on the 7th of February of Mr. and Mrs. John Zimmermann in South Richland, died on Saturday morning from cramps (?colic). The tiny remains were buried that same afternoon at 3 o'clock from the St. John's Catholic Church under the direction of Father L. Plumann in the Riverside Cemetery.

Mrs. Mary Grube
Mrs. Mary Grube died in the night of Tuesday in the residence of her son-in-law Peter Deckrosch, No. 516 East Hopkins Street, at the age of 86 years, 5 months and 16 days. She leaves behind eight grown children. The burial will take place on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the former residence in the Hill Cemetery in Highland township.

Joseph A. Fidler
Joseph A. Fidler died on Sunday morning about 10 o'clock in his residence No. 215 West Water Street after a lengthy illness at the age of 58 years, 4 months and 27 days from a cancer illness. Surviving him are the widow, three daughters and two sons. His remains were taken Wednesday afternoon from the former residence to the grave in the Riverside Cemetery. Pastor Crist officiated.
May C. Kintner, a born Lavergne and wife of Daniel Kintner, died on Saturday morning shortly after 12 o'clock in the family residence No. 415 Front Street from myelitis (spinal inflammation) which developed as a result of the grippe (influenza). She was 45 years, 8 months and 13 days old and hailed from Canada. Remaining behind are the spouse and one son. The burial took place Tuesday morning from the former residence and the Baptist Church in Moats Cemetery in Delaware Township. Pastor D. E. Miller officiated.

John Dohoney
John Dohoney died on Friday morning shortly after 7 o'clock in the residence of his brother Thomas Dohoney, No. 1029 Jefferson Street, after an extremely lengthy illness at the age of 62 years as the result of a stroke attack. He leaves behind three brothers, Thomas and James, who reside here, and the brother William in Ireland. His remains were buried Monday morning from the St. Mary's Catholic Church under the direction of Father J. A. Lane in the Riverside Cemetery. Pallbearers were Frank J. Baker, John E. Nolan, Harry Wrede, Ed. Culkins, F. J. Wagner and Anton Kern.

Georg H. Brenkmann
Georg H. Brenkmann, one of the elder pioneers of Defiance county and a German gentleman from the soles of his feet to the crown of his head, died a sudden death about 3 o'clock on the preceding Wednesday afternoon on his farm in Defiance township. He went, as was his habit, into the farm building to do a little chore, when he suddenly collapsed and without making a sound passed away. His son summoned as quickly as possible Dr. Rigrisch from Defiance, who was only able to state that death had occurred instantly as the result of a stroke attack. For the family, the sudden death o the husband and father came like a bolt out of the blue, since the deceased, in spite of his advanced age, had enjoyed excellent health this winter.
Georg H. Brenkmann was born on the 18th of September 1837 in Eppingen District, Grand Duchy of Baden, Germany, and so was 78 years, 4 months and 22 days old. In the year 1864 he come with his mother, his brother and his bride Veronika Kuhn to this country and married shortly after their arrival in Tiffin, O. The Brenkmann couple settled first on a farm near Montpelier in Williams county, later lived for a short time in Paulding county, and moved then 47 years ago to the farm in Defiance Township, which has been their home ever since. From the marriage resulted six children; of these along with the mother still living are the sons Henry in Defiance Township, John in the vicinity of Oakwood and William on the old homestead. Also remaining behind are eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and the brother Conrad Brenkmann residing in Tiffin, Ohio.
The Christian burial of the mortal remains took place Saturday afternoon in the Dotterer Cemetery, after Pastor Sauder from Indiana had held a funeral service at 11 o'clock in the former residence and at 1 o'clock in the Dotterer Church.
