Esther Olga Walter, young daughter of Arthur Walter and his wife Katherine, born Schackow, died last Wednesday in the parental residence in Toledo. The little girl was born on the 8th of May 1913 in Defiance and on the 18th of May of that same year was baptized by Pastor F. A. Kiess. She had brought her age to 5 years, 10 months and 18 days. The little remains were brought hither to the residence of the grandmother Mrs. Anna Schackow on the southeast city limits and on Friday afternoon buried from there in the Riverside Cemetery under the direction of Pastor F. A. Kiess.

Franz Peter Pfirrmann
Franz Peter Pfirrmann on Friday evening shortly after nine o'clock in his residence No. 215 Corwin Street was released by an easy death from a few month severe illness, which he had borne with patience and resignation. A few months ago he came down with a throat illness, against which all the medical arts and the most faithful care were in vain, and which slowly but surely led to his grave.
Franz Peter Pfirrmann was born on the 4th of December 1857 in Wörth in the Rhein Pfalz. In the year 1883 he immigrated to this country and spent at first a few years in Coldwater, Mich. About the year 1885 he came to Defiance and then remained resident here for the rest of his life. On the 8th of November 1888 he married Miss Margaret Liska, who with the following children survives him: sister Felicia, a high school teacher in Ottoville, Ohio; Miss Rosa Pfirrmann, a high school teacher in Ottawa, Ohio; Georgiana and Francis Pfirrmann in the parental residence. The deceased was a caring spouse and father, a good citizen and true as refined gold. He belonged to the St. Boniface Society of the St. John's Catholic congregation, the A.D.G. Sickness Support Society here and the Workers' Support Society in Coldwater, Mich. His remains were buried on Monday morning from the St. Mary's Catholic Church under the direction of Father L. Plumann in the Riverside Cemetery. Acting as pallbearers were John Schlembach, Valentin Kiessner, John Michenfelder, Hieronymus Oesch, John Boff and F. J. Wagner. The flower bearers were Leo Schlembach, Frank Bidlack and Joseph C. Krutsch.

Friedrich Frank
Friedrich Frank died on Monday morning in the residence of his son Henry in Pleasant Township, Henry County after a five year illness. He was born at Neuhausen, Bavaria and came as a six year old boy to this countryside, where he remained resident to the end of his life. Had he lived until the 11th of June, he would have been 72 years old. Remaining behind are the sons Henry and Peter, three grandchildren and the brother Henry Frank in Pleasant Township. His spouse preceded him in death five years ago. His remains were taken to the grave Wednesday morning under the direction of Pastor Albin Beer from the Emanuel's Reformed Church near New Bavaria.

Wilhelm Holers
Wilhelm Holers, one of the pioneers of Adams Township and a gentleman from the soles of his feet to the crown of his head, was taken from this time by an easy death on Thursday morning about 9 o'clock in his residence in that township. He was born on the 8th of May 1835 at Bisselhövede, Hannover, and thus was 84 years, 9 months and 25 days old. In the year 1861 he immigrated to this country and came at once to this area. On the 4th of August 1866 he was married in Defiance by the late Pastor Adam Detzer with Miss Maria Rathge and immediately thereafter the young married couple settled on the farm in Adams Township, which provided both (of them) with shelter and livelihood until their passing. After the passing of his spouse on the 22nd of April 1903, Grandfather Holers had his home with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Hermann Fricke. Besides this daughter, remaining behind are the daughter Mrs. August Kolbe residing in Okolona and eight grandchildren.
The mortal remains were taken Sunday morning from the St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Florida under the direction of Pastor Theo. Schwankovsky to the grave next to that of his spouse in the congregation graveyard in North Richland.
