Mrs. Elisabeth Wölfle, wife of the Johannes Wölfle who died here in the year 1907, died on Wednesday of the previous week in the State Hospital in Toledo, where she was committed three years ago, at the age of 62 years, 5 months and 15 days. She was born in Germany and came in the year 1879 with her spouse from the Fatherland direct to Defiance, where she then remained resident. She leaves behind four sons, who live in Defiance, and two married daughters in Detroit. Her remains were brought to Defiance to the residence of her son Eduard Wölfle on Franklin Street and on Friday afternoon buried from there in the Riverside Cemetery. Pastor F. A. Kiess officiated, and the German Women's Sickness Support Society accompanied her to the grave site. The coffin bearers were Henry Hohenberger, Coe Robinson, A. Sproull, Charles Schilling, M. J. Walz and Adam Hall.

Mrs. Barbara Weber
Mrs. Barbara Weber, a born Martin, died on Monday in the residence of her daughter Mrs. A. F. Whetstone, No. 727 Columbus Avenue, at the age of 83 years, 11 months and 12 days. Born on the 3th of March 1831 at Weissdorf, Bavaria, as the youngest of 10 children of the married couple Johann Wilhelm Martin and his Wife Elisabeth, born Kaufenstein, she came to this country in the year 1854 with Mr. and Mrs. Andreas Martin. In the year 1857 she married Johann Storck, to whom she presented three sons and four daughters. Of these, Friedrich, Margarethe and Barbara died in their early childhood, Her spouse died in 1867 and ten years later she entered into matrimony With Philipp Weber. He passed away on the 11th of October 1900. In the last few years the now deceased had become quite frail. She was a faithful soul, always ready to do favors for others. Of the ten Siblings, she is the last to go to rest; five brothers and two sisters died here, the others in the old Fatherland.
The deceased leaves behind the daughter Mrs. A.F. Whetstone and the sons J.P. Storck and J. Henry Storck; also the stepson John Storck of here and thestep-daughter Mrs. Jacob Wolf in Ridgevil e township. The descendancy includes besides 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
The burial Will take place Thursday morning under the direction of Pastor F. A. Kiess in the Riverside Cemetery. The funeral service will be at half past 9 in the farmer residence and at 10 o'clock in the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Wilhelm Oelke
Wilhelm Oelke, born in Hohenwald bei Colberg, in the Pomeranian County of Kässlien, died on Tuesday about 11 o'clock in the morning in the residence of his son Hermann, No. 1121 Wayne Street, where he had experienced faithful care, after an almost year long illness from anemia. Born on the 19th of November 1838, he had spent his younger years in the parental home and, when grown to a youth, became a sheep farm supervisor (foreman?), which occupation he followed until his immigration. In the year 1861 he married Friederike Bubbels, who presented him with five children. Of those, three, and in the year 1905 also his spouse, preceded him in death.
In the year1867 he immigrated with his family to this country and acquired a property near Toleston, Lake County, Indiana, on which he lived for almost twenty years. Since 1886 he has resided in Defiance and provided for himself and his (family) through the work of his hands. Since the death of his wife he had felt lonely and longed often and much for death; gently and quietly he has now passed over in his sleep. He had brought the time of his earthly pilgrimage here below to 76 years, 4 months and 4 days. Left behind are the sons Wilhelm and Hermann residing here and the two stepchildren in Chicago.
The funeral service will be Thursday afternoon at half past 1 in the residence and at 2 o'clock in the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Carolina Bridenbaugh
Mrs. Carolina Bridenbaugh, daughter of the late Jakob and Cäcilie Karst, died on Saturday about 5 o'clock in the afternoon in St. Vincent's Hospital in Toledo, where on Thursday morning she had been operated on by Doctor Fisher for a cancer. The operation was almost pointless; but the patient, who had already been operated on the previous fall, wanted to go through with it.
She was born on the 1st of January 1862 and thus was 63 years, 2 months and 20 days old. On the 20th of January 1889 she married John W. Bridenbaugh, to whom she gave four children. Of these, the infant daughter Lucille died in earliest childhood. The widower and the following three sons survive her: John K. in Lincoln, Ill., R. Graydon in Toledo and Donald P. in the parental home. Additionally, siblings surviving are the brothers Charles, Louis, Emil in Sioux Falls, S. Dakota, Edward J. in Port Arthur, Tex., and Fred in Toledo; as well as the sisters Mrs. Flora Goodman in Portsmouth, O., Mrs. Josephine Kunz in Toledo, O., and Mrs. Cäcilie Stoll in Van Wert, Ohio.
The remains were brought Sunday morning to the family residence on the corner of Jefferson and Fifth Streets and on Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock taken to their final rest in the Riverside Cemetery from the St. Mary's Catholic Church. Father James A. Lane officiated. The deceased had spent the greatest part of her life in Defiance; she was generally respected and was dear to us as a good neighbor.
