Richard Clarence, the one year old infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Ruess, died on Saturday morning in the parental residence No. 521 Ravine Avenue. The burial took place Monday afternoon from the former residence in the Riverside Cemetery. Pastor C. H. Schröder officiated.
Louvenia J. Rowe, who resided with her son on the Leithauser farm in Adams Township, died there on Friday morning about 2 o'clock at the age of 81 years and 22 days. The burial took place Sunday afternoon from the Dunkard Church in the congregation's graveyard under the direction of Pastor John Flory.

Eugene Zachrich
Eugene Zachrich, the almost three month old infant son of George Zachrich and his spouse Minnie, born Wahl, died Friday afternoon about 3 o'clock in the parental residence on Henry Street, from cramps. The tiny remains were buried Sunday afternoon at 12 o'clock under the direction of Pastor C. H. Schröder from the family residence in the Riverside Cemetery.

Jacob Martin Edwards
Jacob Martin Edwards of Highland Township died Thursday evening in Defiance Hospital, where he had been taken in the course of the day, at the age of 21 years, 3 months and 7 days. He had last worked here in the plant of the American Steel Package Co. His remains were given Christian burial on Saturday afternoon in the Hill Cemetery in Highland Township. Surviving him are the father and a few siblings.

Michael Flanigan
Michael Flanigan, on Thursday afternoon, after a lengthy siege of illness died in Toledo in the hospital. He had resided here his whole life and had brought his lifetime to 56 years, 8 months and 17 days. His remains were brought hither Friday morning to the residence of his father John Flanigan, No. 1002 Franklin Street. The burial took place Monday morning from the St. Mary's Catholic Church under the direction of Father James A. Lane in the Riverside Cemetery. He leaves behind the father, four brothers and two Sisters.

Wilhelm Heinrich Zachrich
Wilhelm Heinrich Zachrich died on Saturday shortly after one o'clock in the afternoon in his residence No. 611 Henry Street after a lengthy siege of illness at the age of 67 years, 2 months and 1 day. Born on the 6th of February 1850 in Medina County, Ohio, he came young to our landscape and then spent the rest of his life here. On the 6th of April 1874 he was wed by Pastor C. Böse in the residence of the late Erhart Bauer on the South Ridge with his (Erhart's) daughter Miss Katharine, who survives him. The Zachrich couple resided first for three years in Defiance, and then settled on a farm in Highland Township, remaining resident there until in Fall 1911 (they) moved to Defiance. Of the ten children given to them, still living are: Johann, Georg, Wilhelm and Martin Zachrich, Mrs. Louise Max, Mrs. Emma Watts and Miss Margarethe Zachrich in Defiance; Mrs. Flora Voigt in Holgate and Mrs. Katherine Ort on the old homestead in Highland Township. Also there are 17 grandchildren, as well as the brothers Christian in Holgate, Heinrich and Conrad in Pleasant township, Henry County, and the Sister Mrs. Katharine Reed in Fostoria, Ohio.
The deceased was a good citizen, an honest man and a faithful friend, who took his duties seriously and tried to carry them out to the best of his ability. For four years he was the County commissioner and could be proud of his accomplishments in office. His burial took place under the direction of Pastor F. A. Kiess Tuesday at noon in the graveyard of the St. Stephan's Evangelical Lutheran congregation after a funeral service in the former residence and the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Sarah Eis, a born Wilson and widow of Adam Eis, died on Sunday evening at almost 8 o'clock in the residence of her son-in-law John Johnson, No. 1218 Emery Street, at the age of 74 years and 16 days. Her remains were taken Tuesday afternoon from the former residence to the grave in the Riverside Cemetery.
