Herbert Hubaker, up until a short time ago a citizen of our city, died on Saturday in Michigan at the age of 35 years. He leaves behind the widow and one child and was a member Presbyterian congregation here and the Maccabees Lodge. His remains were buried on Monday in the Mccauley Cemetery in Tiffin Township after a funeral service was held in Stryker. Pastor Curtis E. Shields, Wm. Gilson, Louis Stock, William P. Fox, John King and Rollin B. Weible attended the burial from here.

Mrs. Anna J. Patten
Mrs. Anna J. Patten, wife of C. E. Patten, died on Thursday about one o'clock in the morning in her residence in Jewell after a lengthy illness. She was 38 years old and born in this county, where she had also spent her entire lifetime. she leaves behind the widower and one daughter. Her remains were buried Saturday afternoon after a funeral service in the family residence and the Church in Independence in the cemetery there. Pastor John Knauer from Holgate officiated at the burial.

Peter J. Kemmer
After a lengthy illness, Peter J. Kemmer died Wednesday about eleven o'clock in the morning in his residence in Florida at the age of 84 years, 3 months and 23 days. He was born in the Kingdom of Prussia and came to this country in the start of the sixties. After about a one year sojourn in Tuscarawas County, Ohio, he settled on a farm in Henry county and moved 48 years ago to the house in Florida, in which he closed his eyes in death. In the year 1867 he married Miss Louise Memmer, who gave him nine children. The wife and six children have preceded him in death; the three remaining children are Mrs. Dr. Miller in Florida, Mrs. John Pfau in Pleasant Township and Mrs. Deice in Michigan.
His remains were taken to the grave from the Reformed Church in Florida to the graveyard there. Pastor Albin Beer officiated.

Ernst Dalldorf
According to reports by letter, on the 11th of March in San Bernardino California, Ernst Dalldorf, well known in Defiance and the whole surrounding area, died at the age of 75 years. He had lived for many years in Defiance and was active here in various occupations. About eight years ago he moved to California and had since had his home in San Bernardino with his nephew Carl M. Dalldorf. John W. Dalldorf of No 314 Seneca street is also a nephew of the deceased.

Elma Hahn
The only child of the couple Harry and Florence Hahn residing on Rulf Street, the almost three year old Elma, died Tuesday night from diphtheria. The remains had to be buried privately Wednesday morning.

Mrs. Caroline Fair died on Thursday afternoon about half past three in her residence in Delaware Township. She was 73 years, 1 month and 17 days old and had resided in Defiance for many years. Her remains were taken Sunday morning from the former residence and the oak Grove Church to the Brunersburg Cemetery for Christian burial.

Miss Elisabeth Peoples died on Thursday morning about eight o'clock in her residence in Brunersburg after a short illness at the age of 69 years, 1 month and 25 days. Left behind is only the brother George W. Peoples, with whom she had her home. Her remains were taken to the grave Saturday morning in the Brunersburg Cemetery, after Pastor N. G. Newman from the college Church had held a funeral service in the former residence.

Mrs. Hazel Wilhelm, a born Telschow and the wife of W. J. Wilhelm, died Tuesday afternoon about half past four in the residence of her parents Gustav and Dora Telschow, No. 123 Summit Street, from a lung complaint. She was about 25 years old and leaves behind the widower and one daughter, as well as the parents, three sisters and one brother. The burial will take place Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Church of the united Brethren. Pastor W. C. Demuth will officiate.

Anna Sarah Watson, wife of Tobias Watson, the farmer and cattleman residing in Highland Township, died last Thursday about 9 o'clock in the morning in her residence at the age of 64 years, 10 months and 21 days. She leaves behind the widower and many grown children.
The burial of the remains took place on Monday morning in the Riverside Cemetery after Father G. A. Brannigan had held a funeral Mass in the St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Christian Demland died on Sunday afternoon about three o'clock after a lengthy illness in his residence in Pleasant Township, Henry county. He was a many year resident of the countryside there and until his illness almost ten years ago had occupied himself with agriculture. Left behind are one son and five daughters. His wife preceded him in death. He had brought the time of his earthly pilgrimage to 67 years, 0 months and 15 days, and his remains were taken to the grave on Wednesday morning. The funeral service was held by Pastor C. W. Helwig from Defiance at 9 o'clock in the former residence and at 10 o'clock in the St. Paul's Methodist Church on the .....
