Bernhardt Kellermeier died Sunday evening shortly after 8 o'clock in his residence in Tiffin Township after a lengthy illness at the age of 59 years. He was unmarried. surviving him are the sisters Miss Ellen Kellermeier, Mrs. Louise Rethmel, Mrs. Sylvester Stock and Mrs. John Beiderwell, as well as the brother Frederick Kellermeier. The burial took place Wednesday morning from the St. John's Church in Tiffin Township under the direction of Pastor Miller.

George Partee, a veteran of the civil war, passed away Tuesday morning in his residence No. 616 Seneca Street as the result of a stroke attack, which he suffered a long time ago. on the 5th of June past he was 73 years old and is survived by the widow and the following two children: Mrs. Elmer Goldnetz in Canton, Ill., and Elsworth Partee in Tiffin, Ohio. The burial will take place Thursday afternoon; the funeral service is at 1 o'clock in the residence and at half past one in the United Brethren Church.

Mrs. Elisabeth Gasche
Mrs. Elisabeth Gasche died on Tuesday of the previous week in the residence of her daughter, the recently widowed Mrs. Agnes Bührer in Williams County, at the age of 89 years, 11 months and 24 days. Of the two sons and three daughters to whom she gave life, both sons and one daughter are still alive. Her remains were taken on Friday from the former residence and the Disciples' Church in Wauseon for burial in the graveyard there. The pastors Vogt from Archbold and Wharton from Wauseon officiated at the burial.

Jakob F. Farscht
Jakob F. Farscht died on Friday morning about eight o'clock in his residence No. 521½ Perry street at the age of 69 years, 6 months and a few days. He had fallen down a stair about three weeks ago because of his poor eyesight, and suffered injuries which led to his death. The deceased was a veteran of the Civil War; he leaves behind two sons and two daughters. His remains were buried Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Riverside Cemetery. Pastor W. C. Demuth officiated at the burial.
The eldest son of the late John and Elisabeth Lehman, died on Wednesday of the previous week on a ranch in the vicinity of Canyon City, Texas. He was born in Defiance and worked at first here for his father, in his cooperage on the North side, which after the death of the old man he had run in common with his brother Daniel. Left behind are the brother Daniel in Cleveland, as well as the sisters Mrs. Addie Trimble in Cleveland, Mrs. Callie Houchens in Chicago, and Miss Ella Lehman of here. The last (news) come to them, received on Sunday a week ago, was a report of severe illness of the brother. His remains arrived hither on Sunday afternoon and were taken directly from the station to the Riverside Chapel crypt.

Mrs. Mary Rourke
Mrs. Mary Rourke died on Sunday morning about five o'clock in her residence No. 657 Jackson Street at the age of almost 73 years. She was born on the 25th of February 1840 in Ireland and came as a small child to America. Here she married Michael Rourke, who preceded her in death about 40 years ago. Of their six children, three have died before her; left behind are the three daughters Misses Annie and Catherine Rourke of here and Mrs. Mary Gottwald of Chicago, as well as four grandchildren. The deceased had resided in Defiance for over half a century. Her mortal remains were buried on Tuesday in the Riverside Cemetery, after a funeral service took place at 9 o'clock in the morning by Father G. A. Brannigan in the St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Katharine Frank
Katharine Frank, a born Schappert and wife of Friedrich Frank, died on Monday morning about 7 o'clock in the family residence in Pleasant Township, Henry Vounty from Bright's kidney disease, which had attacked her seriously on the day before New Years. She was born on the 11th of April 1852 in Defiance County and thus was 61 years, 10 months and 3 days old. On the 16th of December 1866 she was confirmed by Pastor Spies. She married Friedrich Frank on the 27th of May 1874 and presented him with four children, of whom two died in childhood. Left behind are the two sons Peter Frank in Pleasant Township and Heinrich Frank in the vicinity of Ann Arbor, Mich. There also remains one grandchild, as well as the brother Peter Schappert on the South Ridge and the sister Mrs. John G. Bauer near Ney and two half-brothers. The burial will take place Thursday under the direction of Pastor Albin Beer. The funeral service is at 9 o'clock in the former residence and at 10 o'clock in the Emanuel's Reformed Church.

Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Carter
Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Carter, a born Daggett and widow of the late William Carter, died on Sunday about 11 o'clock in the morning in her residence No. 322 Jefferson Street at the age of 95 years, 7 months and 11 days. She was born on the 4th of July 1818 in Poultney, Vermont, and in the year 1837 came to Defiance, where she remained resident until the end of her life. On the 3rd of November 1839 she married the attorney William Carter, who on the 30th of January 1881 preceded her in death. of the eleven children, to whom she gave life, still living are Miss Florence A. Carter and Elbert E. Carter of here, as well as William Carter in Cincinnati. Besides these there are nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The deceased was the oldest member of the Presbyterian congregation here and without a doubt the oldest person in Defiance. Almost up until he last breath the old lady was active, and her death was a peaceful falling asleep. The burial took place Tuesday afternoon from the former residence in the Riverside Cemetery. The Pastors Dr. B. W. Slagle and Curtis E. Shields officiated.
