Walter Keesbury died suddenly on Friday evening about 11 o'clock in the residence of his grandmother Mrs. William F. Davis, No. 234 Jackson Street, at the age of 20 years from consumption. He was a son of the barber Edward Keesbury and had been sickly for years. His remains were buried Monday afternoon in the Riverside Cemetery.

Francis A. Griffith
Francis A. Griffith, wife of Louis J. Griffith dropped dead on Monday evening on East High Street. was taken in Hoffmann's ambulance to the family residence at No. 336 Danforth Street. The cause of death was presumably a heart complaint. The remains were Wednesday morning to Angola, Indiana for burial. The deceased was 38 years and months old.

Luther H. Robinson
Luther H. Robinson died on Sunday evening shortly before half past ten o'clock in his residence No. 805 Holgate Avenue after a lengthy illness as the result of a stroke attack and pneumonia at the age of 74 years, 10 months and 16 days. He hailed from Lucas County, but had resided for many years in Defiance and was also a veteran of the Civil War. Surviving him are the widow, two sons and three daughters. His remains were taken Wednesday afternoon from the former residence to the grave in the Cemetery in Evansport. Pastor W. H. Shepser from the Zion Evangelical Lutheran congregation officiated at the burial. (truncated)

Mrs. Anna Dorothea Lakemacher
Old Pioneer Deceased.
In the residence of her son Frank Lakemacher in continental, Ohio, where she had had her home for years, on Thursday shortly before four o'clock in the afternoon, Mrs. Anna Dorothea Lakemacher, born Ohly, died from the infirmities of age. She was born on the 24th of June 1830 at Goltzheim bei Giessen in the Grand Duchy of Hessen and was therefore 88 years, 7 months and 21 days old.
In the year 1857 she came to this country and married in the following year the widower Jakob Lakemacher, whose death after 37 years separated the marriage. Remaining behind are the children William, John, Frank and Emma, as well as the stepchildren Mrs. John Schatz of here and Mrs. August Aschbacher. There are also twelve grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. The deceased had her home in Defiance for a long time and may well be known to the older residents.
Her remains were taken Monday morning from the former residence in Continental under the direction of Pastor F. A. Kiess and laid in final slumber here in the Riverside Cemetery.

Theresia Hendricks
Theresia Hendricks, wife of Mr. Henry Hendricks, died on Sunday about noon after a few month illness in the family residence No. 817 Deatrick Street from a heart complaint. She had reached the age of 67 years and leaves behind only the widower. Her remains were taken to the grave on Wednesday morning under the direction of Father J. A. Lane from the St. Mary's Catholic Church in the Riverside Cemetery.

Armine Garand
Armine Garand, wife of Oliver J. Garand, died on the previous Wednesday morning shortly after seven o'clock in the family residence No. 920 Asa Street after a lengthy illness from an internal complaint. She had reached an age of 59 years, 8 months and 15 days and leaves behind the widower with three married daughters. Her remains were taken to the grave on Saturday morning under the direction of Father L. Plumann from the St. John's Catholic Church in the Riverside Cemetery.

Mrs. Elsie Sheeley
Mrs. Elsie Sheeley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jakob Geiger of the south Ridge and wife of Matthias Sheeley, died on Wednesday afternoon last week in Dewey, Okla., where she has resided the last few years. Her remains arrived on Saturday morning in Pleasant Bend and from there were taken to the residence of her grandfather Wilhelm Sauer. The deceased had brought her age to about 27 years. The burial took place Sunday morning, after Pastor Albin Beer had held a funeral service at 10 o'clock in the Reformed Church on the South Ridge. She leaves behind the spouse, with whom she was wed on the 2nd of November 1910, the father Jakob Geiger in Highland Twp., three brothers, three sisters, and a large circle of more distant relatives.
Acting as pallbearers at the burial were Bernhard Steinmaier, George Sauer, Henry Sauer, Will Sauer, Jakob Engel and Christ. Geiger.
