Hudson, widowed and one of the oldest pioneers of our city, died on Tuesday about four o'clock in the afternoon in the residence of his son Harry, No. 725 First Street, at the age of 80 years and 11 days. He leaves behind two sons. The time of the burial had not yet been set on Wednesday morning.

Mary Ann Schordt
Mary Ann Schordt, wife of John Schordt, died Monday night about 12 o'clock in her residence on Ottawa Avenue at the age of 58 years, 11 months and 27 days. She leaves behind only her spouse. The burial will be on Thursday afternoon at half past two from the Zion English Lutheran Church in the Riverside Cemetery.

Isaac Lalonde
Isaac Lalonde died on Tuesday morning about five o'clock in his residence on Ottawa Avenue from blood poisoning, which had begun from an unnoticed wound on the foot. Isaac Lalonde hailed from Montreal, Canada and came forty years ago to Defiance, where he had run a tavern for many years. He had brought his age to 64 years and 7 days. Remaining behind are the spouse, four sons and two daughters. The burial took place Friday morning at 9 o'clock from the St. Mary's Catholic Church in the Riverside Cemetery.

John M. Kleinhenn
John M. Kleinhenn, a resident of Defiance county for many years and a veteran of the Civil War, died on the past Thursday in the residence of his son-in-law Joseph Lero in Ayersville at the age of 82 years, 10 months and 9 days. He was born in England and came young to this country. Up until a ripe old age, he practiced agriculture here, but lived in retirement the past few years because of physical infirmities. The cause of death was Bright's kidney disease. His spouse along with two daughters and four sons survives him. His remains were taken to the grave Saturday morning from the Methodist Church in Ayersville under the direction of Pastor H. A. Monahan in the graveyard there. Bishop Post of the Grand army, to which the deceased belonged, gave him a funeral cortege.

Sarah Grant
Sarah Grant, wife of Mr. Angus A. Grant, took leave from this life on Monday morning about 10 o'clock after an extremely lengthy illness in the family residence No. 706 Holgate Avenue. She came many years ago to Defiance and then remained resident here. She had brought her age to 78 years. Surviving her are the spouse, the son Angus A. Grant, Jr., residing here, and the son Daniel Grant in south Bend, Indiana. The burial took place Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock from the St. Mary's Catholic Church in the Riverside Cemetery.

Eliza Jane Ury
Eliza Jane Ury, wife of George Ury, died on Wednesday evening of the previous week here in the residence of her sister Mrs. Edward L. Shessler, No. 620 Harrison Street, after a lengthy illness. Her home is in Toledo, and she was on a visit to her sister, when the hour of her death struck. The deceased had brought her age to 60 years, 8 months and 28 days and she is survived by the spouse, one son and two daughters. Her remains were taken Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the former residence to the grave in the Riverside Cemetery. Dr. B. W. Slagle officiated.

Apollonia Schlientz
Apollonia Schlientz, a born Holzer and widow of the late August Schlientz, died on Thursday about half past five in the evening in Chicago in the residence of her daughter Mrs. Libbie Carlsen at the age of 80 years, 10 months and 7 days. she was born in Augsburg, Germany, where she also passed her younger years. In the year 1854 she immigrated with her spouse August Schlientz to this country and after a two year sojourn in the state of New York, in Toledo and in Bryan, settled here, where she has lived ever since. Her spouse, a watchmaker by trade, died almost 30 years ago; her daughter Maria also died before her. Remaining behind are the sons Anton L. and Stephan Schlientz of here, Joseph Schlientz in Cleveland and Frank Schlientz in Chicago and the daughter Mrs. Libbie Carlsen in Chicago.
The mortal remains of the elderly lady were brought hither Saturday afternoon to the residence and on Monday morning under the direction of Father Plumann from the St. John's Catholic Church were buried in the Riverside Cemetery. The pallbearers were Jakob Baltes, Peter A. Baker, Napoleon G. Cunningham, Joseph Blanchard, Isidor J. Höffel and Frank Wilhelm.
