Mrs. Maria March, a born Hartmann and widow of the Friedrich March who died here in the year 1900, died on Saturday morning about half past 8 o'clock in her residence No. 611 Nicholas Street at the age of 68 years less two weeks. She was born on the 6th of October 1850 and had on the 20th of October 1872 married Friedrich March, to whom she presented four children, of whom Miss Dore March of here and Carl March in Detroit, Mich. are Still alive. Also left behind are the stepchildren John and Fred March of here, Henry March in Toledo and Mrs. Ferdinand Kiessling in Ft, Wayne, as well as the two stepbrothers Georg Schliesser in Adams Township and David Schliesser in Delaware Township. Mrs. March had resided for many years in Defiance and was well loved within her large circle of acquaintances. The burial took place Tuesday afternoon under the direction of Pastor W. H. Shepser from the Zion English Lutheran Church to the Cemetery at Independence.

Johann Böhm
Johann Böhm, born on the 16th of January 1845 at Drothenrath, Bavaria, and in 1854 with his parents immigrated to this country, died on Saturday evening about 6 o'clock in the house of his son-in-law Edward Wölfle, No. 419 Franklin Ave., after an extremely lengthy illness. After his immigration he lived at first with his parents on a farm a mile west of Standley. In the late Fall of 1869 he married Miss Elisabeth Richter, who preceded him in death on the 10th of November 1904. From 1870 until the beginning of the Eighties he resided in the city of Defiance, then lived for a few years in Michigan and finally in 1884 bought a farm in North Richland, which he cultivated until the year 1913. Since then the sickly man has lived here in retirement. Of the three children, the eldest daughter (died) in 1884 and the son Georg died on the 11th of October 1913. Remaining behind are the daughter Mrs. Edward Wölfle, the daughter-in-law Mrs. Reba Böhm, three grandchildren, the sisters Mrs. Barbara Wendt and Mrs. Margarethe Funk of here and Mrs. Katharine Meister in Toledo. Johann Böhm, who was a good citizen and a true friend, had brought his lifetime to 73 years, 8 months and 6 days. His remains were buried Tuesday morning under the direction of Pastor F. A. Kiess from the former residence and the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Riverside Cemetery.

Donelda Wortman
Donelda Wortman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Miller and wife of the young Riley Wortman, died on Thursday morning in the residence of her parents on Ayersville Avenue at the age of 21 years, 7 months and 23 days. The burial, at which Pastor F. A. Kiess officiated, took place Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the former residence in the Riverside Cemetery.

Mrs. Elisabeth Hull
Mrs. Elisabeth Hull, a born Grimm and wife of Sylvester A. Hull, died on Wednesday evening shortly before 9 o'clock in her residence on Henry Street at the age of 62 years, 9 months and 8 days. She hailed from Pleasant Township, Henry County, but came many years ago to Defiance, and with the exception of a few years, which she spent in Chicago, has resided here continuously ever since. She was twice married; her first spouse, Cyrus A. Eding, died before her. Remaining behind are the widower Sylvester A. Hull, the son Geo. A. Eding and a few stepchildren. The burial took place Saturday afternoon from the former residence under the direction of Dr. C. O. Crist in the Riverside Cemetery.

Albert J. Maag
Albert J. Maag died on the way home on the night of Friday, from a heart attack, from which he had already suffered for a long time. He had been putting things in order for his elderly mother, the Widow Anna Rahmel, to whom he was a faithful and caring son, on the bitterly cold night and left on the way home shortly after eleven o'clock. Next to the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church on Arabella Street, death overtook him, because there early the next morning Herman Ludwig found his body, which was taken to Martin's business for preparation for burial.
Albert J. Maag was born on the 27th of April 1869 at Pantau, West Prussia, and came as an 11 year old youth to Defiance, where he had resided ever since and was active for many years as an innkeeper(?) and ice seller. He was twice married; the first spouse has died, the second survives him. Also remaining behind are the aged mother, the sons Ferdinand, Lloyd and Albert, the brother William in Seattle, Washington, the stepsisters Amalie in Toledo and Addie in Swanton and the stepbrother Carl in Chicago. Many friends mourn with the family the death of this man beloved by all. The burial took place Monday morning from the family residence No. 907 Jefferson Avenue in the Riverside Cemetery. At the burial, father J. A. Merickel officiated.
