Died—at his home in this village, Wednesday morning, March 30, 1910, Byron Eugene Hackett, aged 61 years.
Mr. Hackett was an honest, upright man and a good citizen. For the past four years he has been in poor health, but in spite of this he worked at his trade, (painting and paperhanging) up to within a short time of his death. He was also janitor of the Liberty schools, and the esteem in which he was held by teachers and pupils was fittingly expressed by the beautiful floral offering sent by them on the occasion of his funeral.
He is survived by a widow and one daughter, Miss Lora Hackett, whose home is in Grand Rapids, Mich.
Funeral services were held at the residence Saturday at 3 o’clock, interment In Young’s cemetery.
